Fourfold Healing NewsletterMay 2010 |
| Hello Everyone, In this newsletter we have some hellos & good-byes within our staff, upcoming events, office updates from Sabine, and an introduction to an exciting new medicine I’m now giving to cancer, AIDS, and some autoimmune patients called Viscum Schwenk. This mistletoe remedy is created in Rudolf Steiner’s precise way. As you will discover, it also requires a different economic structure to keep it available. Please continue reading to find out more about this unique medicine! Best, Tom Cowan |

| This week we are seeing a changing of the guard in our office. Karen Hamilton-Roth, is stepping down as our one day per week receptionist. She has been a trusted friend, dependable assistant, and listening ear to many patients. It has been wonderful to have Karen’s positive energy and helpfulness greeting us every Monday. She has used her nursing expertise and depth of food knowledge to guide many of you through your dietary and medicine changes. Undoubtedly, Karen will soon find new and more creative ways to help those embarking on the healing paths encompassing the work of the Weston Price foundation, GAPS and natural healing in general. All of us here at Chenery Street, also want to give a warm goodbye to Dara Crawford. Although she has been here the shortest amount of time, her cheerfulness and enthusiasm has moved us all. As Dara carries on to new motherhood and an exiting new business, we temper our sadness with the knowledge that Dara’s life is changing in new and interesting ways. As we welcome Sierra and Laura to our practice, we note the loss of two very lovely people. All the best to our dear friends, Karen and Dara. |
| Office Updates: by Sabine |
| Before going into office details, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you out there who supported me and my partner, Gabriel, to get to Germany for cancer treatment. I am very truly grateful. He responded quite well to the therapies, and although still has a way to go, he is doing so much better. If you would like to read details on our experience, please visit my blog. Gabriel has just started Viscum Schwenk this week and says he has a really good feeling about it (must be all that great energy that goes into making it!). Tom mentioned it has record of a least one person with follicular lymphoma being cured by it. I’m curious and feeling hopeful.
I know that some of you have wondered where I’ve been since I’m not at the front desk anymore, but I can assure you that I’m still here. I’ve just been hiding in the back sorting out accounts, updating our systems, and managing the office. My intention since my return from Germany has been to build a firm foundation where we can grow and expand our services. For patients, I’m currently working on making information accessible, and better stock of our medicines so we can minimize delays. We are also now carrying butter oil capsules and fermented cod liver capsules to make getting everything from one place easier. We have discounted most of our supplements to 5%-20% off retail as a courtesy to all of our patients. With our new accounting system, we can now email patients sales receipts, which makes us a little greener in saving paper and energy. If you don’t have an email on file and want to join in, let us know and we will happily set this up for you. Our website has been updated and organized for smooth navigation, so for those of you who may have been having trouble sorting through Dr. Cowan’s newsletters and articles in the past, I hope you can now find everything a lot more easily! I’ve also created many resource pages for food, medicines, and helpful links for support and recipes, which can all be accessed through the “Resources” & “New Patient” tabs. For those of you who haven’t visited our site in a while, our “Contact” page also now provides links to communicate your needs to us through email. Laura Lion and Sierra Delgado both will be available every work day to assist you with any orders or administrative requests. Lastly, I want to thank all the patients who have been understanding and willing to participate in making our daily operations run smoothly by following our requested approaches. Your cooperation helps us grow! There are still many changes and prospects for the future–my shift in position, our new staff, & Viscum Schwenk are clearly some of them to start. We will keep you in the loop! Best Wishes, Sabine. |

| Unfortunately, Viscum Schwenk is no longer available to us & due to supplier requirements we had to remove all information on it from our website. We will let you know if the circumstances change.
